Chiquita and Julius are the kindest hosts one could wish for. They live on the same premises, so always near to answer questions, but never intrusive. We were in apartment Dennis, which is well equipped for a short stay. We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool and sun terrace around it. Bloubergstrand and some nice places to eat/ have breakfast (Trecastelli) is a 5 min walk away. The mattress was a bit hard for my taste. |

The kitchenette only had a microwave - so cooking was difficult. Also, there was no door in between the bathroom and sleeping area. This was fine for one person but I wouldn’t be so comfortable with two. |

Everything was excellent. We stayed in the "Dennis" apartment. Accommodation was exactly as described. It was certainly large enough for us (2 adults and 2 early teenage kids) to each have our own space, and then some. Hot water for showers was always available and was enough for 4 hot showers without running out. On-site Manager (Chris) was very helpful and was always available(via direct phone number, or a knock at his front door) to assist with his local knowledge on anything from restaurant tips to the best beaches. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Accommodation itself was spotless and well equipped, wifi continued to work during any load-shedding and hi-power lamps were also provided for space lighting. Beds were very comfortable and overhead fans worked well on the hotter days. Swimming pool was always clean and water temperature was comfortable. |

Rooms are spacious, plenty of closet space to unpack, beds are extremely comfortable, bedding is soft like a hotel-type of feel. They fully supply bathroom towels as well as swimming towels matching the number of beds available. The kitchen comes with all the basics you need including a toaster, microwave, as well as a single gas stove (in case of loadshedding). The bathroom is spacious and has a big shower and a bath, as well as a big bathroom wall unit to unpack all your toiletries. There is also plenty of space to hang all your towels which is very convenient. They have plenty of plugs available which come with USB plugs as well as two-point and three-point plugs making it very easy to use different appliances on the same plug at the same time. The swimming pool is lovely, they have extra tan beds set out in case necessary as well as chairs and tables outside in case you want to have your breakfast/lunch/dinner outside. They provide a 4K TV with Netflix with an extremely great download speed (350+). They also provide games to play which was great when the kids were asleep and we didn't feel like watching TV. Last but not least, they provided a washing machine with washing pods which was very convenient and you have a garage to park your car at all times. We absolutely loved everything about our stay here. Will most definitely come back. We stayed in the Dennis Cottage. Oh, and the owners are lovely people. They are super friendly. Thank you for the great stay. |

I was looking for a place over the new year for my parents to stay, and I found this wonderful gem! The place is very close to public transport, within walking distance to the beach and the shops, and Chiquita and her family are the most warm and welcoming hosts we have met. My parents really enjoyed every minute of their stay and they were very sad to leave. We booked at Southeaster and we were 12 friends. We booked all rooms and we absolutely loved our stay. All the rooms are fully equipped with everything we needed except the stove. On arrival we were received by a friendly manager. He stayed at the premises and he was very helpful and he always ready when we needed assistance with anything. The owner popped in on Saturday just to check that that everything was fine. We celebrated our friend’s birthdays and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The place is very neat. I knew from the pictures I would enjoy my stay and to my delight I was correct. The room was well equipped and exceptionally clean. Even though my stay was during a rainy winter week, the room was very warm and cosy. Within safe walking distance of the beach, restaurants and stores. I stayed at the Southeaster for a week at the end of July. This is hands down one of the top accommodations I have stayed at. I was in the room called George which is the top floor room with two bedrooms, a small kitchen, one bathroom and a lounge. The facilities were clean, modern and very comfortable. It had everything you might need during your stay. Everything worked well and the grounds manager was there to assist if I did need anything or if I had any queries. Beds are very important for me when I book accommodation and I could give a 5 star review on the beds. I slept amazingly, very comfortable! and there is a wall heater in each room which was needed in July. George room has a stunning view of Table Mountain which was really lovely to wake up to every morning. Lastly, they have pool facilities there with sun bathing chairs and benches all around the pool. I couldn't swim as I was there in the middle of winter but I will definitely be back in summer!! Wonderful, wonderful accommodation!!! |
